Confidentiality
In order for me to build trust and rapport with students, I will keep information confidential with some exceptions. By law the school counselor is required to disclose information with others in certain circumstances:
- Presenting danger to self or others
- Evidence or disclosure of abuse or neglect
- Legal subpoena
The child will be made aware of these limits of confidentiality and will be informed if it is necessary to share information with others.
